Good news, Windows 2012 R2 is fully supported - see Server Products — Operating system compatibility

 

As far as all the different versions go, the full details are in the Server Products — Technical product specification but the main difference is in the number of onboard hard drive ports that run at 3Gbps or 6Gbps, and how many riser slots they have.

 

RPO and RPM have only one riser slot, and RPM is the only one with onboard video.  They would go better in a rack configuration.

RPS and RPL have more riser slots, and would probably be better for having the extra room for multiple add-in cards.  RPS has some advanced management options.

 

does that at least help you get started?

If you are using 2 memory sticks please use only one and try again.

There is only one slot for RAM.

Please remove the Msata and the network card and try to access the BIOS pressing the F2 key.

I have no idea how it is possible to remove a network card, because it is integrated into the NUC. I tried to launch the board without ethernet connection and without sata. Pressing F2 while booting doesn't help. I see the same picture: the monitor is black.

Would you please check if the BIOS jumper is the correct position?  Position 1 and 2

I checked. It was in the first position. I tried to change the position, nothing changed.

Hey Indest,

 

How do you find out what is compatible with your motherboard?? Because i've been looking at what you have said a Intel 7260-AC but that's what i'm going by unless there's other NIC mini cards that I can put in my laptop.

Can you try:

servo.writeMicroseconds(1500);

 

not all servos follow the standard very closely so even if you set it at the expected mid point it still moves.

Honestly the only you can do is upgrade your router to either a Dual Band 802.11N router or upgrade it to 802.11AC router. If you have cable internet then I would suggest making sure you get newer one also.  The newer Modems have a 1000Mbps Ethernet port on them.   The Dual bands and AC routers have Ethernet ports also.   This will make sure everything runs the smoothest it can.

Hi ahmadto,

Can you be more specific about what is not working? What sketch are you running?  Also, make sure that you are choosing the correct board and port in the Galileo IDE under the “Tools” menu.

Hey Sergio,

 

Thanks for your response. Sorry that i canot tell you now what kind of error, because i treid with many Code and some of them told mw that something was not declare. I am using the Intel Galileo first generation, i download the Library from this sensor and i used Pin 11 for clock and Pin 10 for Data. But i am not sure if this Sensor is with this board compatible or not. Do you have the correct Code from this Sensor. I want to make Weather Station in Webserver.

I'm still experiencing problems with the wifi randomly not working when resuming from sleep as of the latest 8/20/14 drivers. It gets stuck on "attempting to authenticate" and fails to connect to any wireless network. Disabling and re-enabling the adapter or restarting the computer seems to get it working again.

 

I've already had Lenovo replace the wifi card once. So I know the problem is inherent in the hardware itself or the drivers.

 

This is absolutely ridiculous. This crappy wifi adapter has basically turned my $2000 tricked out Thinkpad T440p into a paper weight. Fix your terrible drivers intel or issue a recall. This kind of nonsense is the sort of thing people start class action lawsuits over. A laptop with an unreliable wifi adapter may as well be a brick. Why did you clowns release this card in this state when it was so clearly not ready for prime time?

 

Normally I have good experiences with Intel products. But the AC 7260 is probably the worst piece of junk you guys have produced since the GMA900 that couldn't run Aero.

I have read the documentation. As far as I understand, the Remote Management Unit (RMU) is something that is not open for the developer to program or modify. This is my understanding from the lack of information about what it does exactly and by the fact that it works with the binary file provided directly by Intel.

 

For instance, there is a detailed description of the RMU registers, but there is no description of the operation of the RMU. In other words, as a developer you have access to the registers and through them you access and control the functionality already implemented by Intel in the RMU.bin rather than being able to develop such binary by yourself. This is also why the latest specification review adds an additional control register to the RMU that controls the SPI DMA deactivation after boot. Am I correct on these assumptions or there is a way of programming the behavior of the RMU?

Please confirm the following bug in latest "Intel® Server Board S2400SC Firmware Update Package for EFI" package.

 

Details:

in FRUSDR 1.10 utility update package there is a bug that prevents manual setting of Power system unit type when auto detecting fails.

 

in line 181 in MASTER.CFG

FOUND "PS1_FRU" "PS1_NO_FRU" 

should change to                   

FOUND "PS1_FRU" "NO_PS1_FRU"

 

and in line 246 in the same file

FOUND "PS2_FRU" "PS2_NO_FRU"

should change to

FOUND "PS2_FRU" "NO_PS2_FRU"

 

 

I also checked that this problem also affects at lease one  previous update package FRUSDR 1.09

This problem affected my "Intel® Server System R2312SC2SHGR"

I look for the spec of that memory, it does not say the density.  The NUC seems to want only 4Gb density chips, which I think means 8 chips on each side of a (double-sided) 8GB module.  If your module has 16 chips per side then I think that is a problem (low density).  Also your spec seems to say that although the memory will work at 1.35v that the SPD is set to 1.5v.  I would guess the NUC would not like that.  But perhaps your spec is wrong and they have improved the SPD to show 1.35v

The card works in ubuntu V14 no issues , event on the install it picks it up and used to download updates.

 

so INTEL its not a hardware issue its your drivers something IS NOT RIGHT.

 

anyways i've ordered a broadcom card since the drivers from intel are useless.

I dson't understand your question, you have the link to the latest drive. Just click on your link, the on the blue icon link to the exe installer and you'll be good to go.
